Refrigerators have water filters to remove contaminants from tap water, but you need to replace them every 6 months or 200-300 gallons of water. Kenmore refrigerators either have a water filter on the top right corner of the machine, or have a water filter on the bottom underneath the doors. To help you finish the replacement task in under 5 minutes, I’d like to give you the following instructions in this post.
Water filter 3 (4396841, EDR3RXD1, Kenmore 46-9083) can be installed in Kenmore T1KB1, Kenmore 9020 and Kenmore W10569760, and water filter 1 (EDR1RXD1, W10295370A, W10569760, W10295370) in Kenmore P4RFKB12 and Kenmore P4RFKB2.
Here are steps to replace it:
·Locate the water filter on your Kenmore refrigerator. Most Kenmore Elite fridges have water filters in the top right corners of the interior.
·Twist the water filter counterclockwise to release it from the slot.
·Insert a new water filter into the slot.
·Press the “Filter Reset” button if the indicator light above it is yellow or red.
·Run four gallons of water through the line to clean the new water filter.
